Sony’s just announced that their Google TVs will be available on Best Buy store shelves starting October 24th. They’ve stated that you can now pre-order at SonyStyle.com and will be available to you starting this weekend if you do decide to go that route. You’ll be able to purchase four models – 24, 32, 40, and 46 inches – just as we learned before, at $599, $799,  $999, and $1,399 respectively. Don’t get confused reading the press release (below) where it states these are LED backlit: this doesn”t mean the panel itself is LED. Expect an LCD panel like many of you alluded to before. Sony’s also offering a Google TV-enabled Blu-Ray for $399.99. The combination of Sony’s hardware and engineering expertise and Google’s understanding of open software provides a unique user experience, merging multiple content sources in one easy-to-use interface. From broadcast to streaming video from the Internet, Sony Internet TV offers the ability to quickly search and watch content from wherever, whenever.

Featuring both integrated television models and a Blu-ray Disc™ player, Sony Internet TV is powered by Google TV. The models also feature Dual View, allowing users to watch television while tweeting about what they’re watching, checking their fantasy football scores, or finding related content on the web.
They also deliver a truly personalized entertainment experience with the ability to bookmark content for easy access and add applications from the Android™ Market (coming in early 2011). A BGR tipster recently found out that BlackBerry Oxford, a new clamshell made by RIM would be heading to Sprint around October 31st. This will be an exclusive launch and we learn that the unit will be available in grey and purple, with the latter being launched afterwards.

This device should be powered by BlackBerry OS 6 and it’ll go for $99.99 on a 2 year contract, after a $100 mail in rebate. Here’s the specs list for the handset:
